ETHEKWINI - eThekwini will be one of the most hotly-contested metros in the upcoming elections.
The Ground Work Collective's Mbali Ntuli said the metro's results will show how political support is shifting in KwaZulu-Natal and what this could mean for the ANC's future.
"I think that eThekwini is going to probably be the most interesting just because there are so many surprises in there. Just looking at the numbers of the party that's leading, I think that it's out of culture with the rest of the country but certainly is dominant in KZN and not just in the metro.
"I think it's going to be very exciting to unpack, personally, I think it's probably the one that people are looking at the most because it also signals a very important way for at least the ANC to think about a future.
