Residents in parts of Johannesburg have entered a second week without reliable water supply due to a reservoir leak and system failures.

Many registered students have been struggling to find accommodation due to funding issues or missing application deadlines.

Six people have been shot dead and 18 others left injured after a shooting incident in the south of Johannesburg on Tuesday.

The Eswatini Observer quoted education minister Owen Nxumalo as saying during a tour of schools: "I will not tolerate any issues that come with homosexual relationships in our schools."
