JOHANNESBURG - In less than two weeks, more than 30 world leaders will descend on South Africa.
US President Donald Trump will not be among them. Neither will anyone from his government, but the show must go on.
The G20 is made up of the 20 countries that have the most advanced economies.
Together, they represent about 85 percent of the global GDP.
The first summit was held in 1999.
This year will be the first time the world leaders will meet on African soil and the NASREC Expo Centre will be the venue.
The decision by the US to boycott the G20 is unprecedented but South African officials are adamant it will not define the Leaders’ Summit.
They are working hard to ensure the summit is remembered for its professionalism and the impact it has on humankind.
