Children safety in sharp focus after 4-year-old murder

JOHANNESBURG - The trial of preschool teacher Amber Lee Hughes has been postponed to 24 July.

She is accused of raping and murdering four-year-old Nada Jane Challita.

The little girl was found drowned in a bathtub in her home in January 2023.

Hughes was allegedly the last person seen with her.

She has pleaded not guilty to all the charges against her.
