Concern as treasury excludes HIV/AIDS funding from budget

JOHANNESBURG - Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana's budget has no specific allocation, to cover the shortfall in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

But there's nearly 29 billion rand for salaries and staffing in hospitals and clinics.

The health budget is projected to grow to 329 billion rand by 2027/28, and the department has to find money for HIV/AIDS initiatives.
