PRETORIA - It’s the long-awaited testimony that is already raising eyebrows at the Madlanga Commission in Pretoria.
Brown Mogotsi, one of the names at the centre of explosive claims of political interference and police corruption, has finally taken the stand.
He is accused of acting as the middleman between alleged cartel figure Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala and Police Minister, Senzo Mchunu.
Forensic investigator and crime expert Dorothy Mmushi discussed Mogotsi's testimony with eNCA.
Mmushi said, "The testimony led today by Brown Mogotsi is quite surprising, I think as a forensic expert [and] at this stage, there's a lot of questions and doubt regarding his claims of being a contact agent for crime intelligence."
"In his testimony, there's a lot of flaws that have been picked up in terms of procedure."
