JOHANNESBURG - It’s been a couple of weeks of suspensions, firings or placements on special leave. 

On Monday, President Cyril Ramaphosa decided to fire the Higher Education Minister, Dr Nobuhle Nkabane. And appoint Buti Manamela in her place.

Ramaphosa also decided to suspend the South Gauteng Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Andrew Chauke, with immediate effect.
