JOHANNESBURG - An academic has added her voice to the argument that a basic income grant can help South Africa address poverty and inequality.
During Covid government introduced an additional social grant for the unemployed called the Social Relief of Distress Grant of R350.
The temporary measures has been extended many times.

And many believe that government should replace it with something permanent and more substantial – a Basic Income Grant.
