Mindset change to achieve work-life balance

JOHANNESBURG - A mindset change is needed by leaders in the corporate arena.

They need to understand that women face pressures both at work and at home.

Studies show working women feel they work double shifts -- during the day at work and in the evenings motherly and wifely duties.

"Leadership has to give people permission to take up both of these roles, leadership need to shift their thinking around one way or the other," said Investec's Nicola Tager.

"If leadership don’t understand that well-being is going to one of the most critical aspects of employee experience and organisation again, they're going to lose out."
