Nedbank Cup final | Fans share excitement before showdown

DURBAN - The stage is set for the Nedbank Cup final between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Orlando Pirates are putting in the final touches in training, and coach Jose Riveiro is backing his side with confidence.

Pirates are determined to end the season on a high and deny their archrivals a shot at ending their long-standing trophy drought.

Fans are just as fired up.

On the South African Morning, we asked viewers what it will take for Kaizer Chiefs to finally break their silverware dry spell.

Here’s what some had to say:

“I am a Kaizer Chiefs supporter, and in order for us to beat Orlando Pirates tomorrow, we must throw together an almighty tactical style because lately, we’ve been run-of-the-mill,” said @Gabojust.

“It’s gonna be a tough one for Amakhosi, but they will win 3-1,” said @SibisiGlen.

@Moxido88 said Chiefs are lacking in the final product.

"It’s not like these teams are dominating them. They need to keep it simple and maintain intensity for the whole 90 minutes. Also, they must be clinical in front of goals.”

@knowledgengwen8 is a betting man.

"I put my money on Pirates. They have that fighting spirit — that ‘I can do it’ thing,” he said.

“Players must play for each other. If I was the coach, I’d go with a 3-5-2 system. Best system for Chiefs,” said @LandileVik19290.

The final whistle on Saturday will decide it all.
