JOHANNESBURG - Calls are growing to overhaul South Africa's parole system.
According to figures released earlier this year, thousands of parolees and probationers have reoffended each year while still under supervision.
Experts urge that the Correctional Services Act should place greater emphasis on rehabilitation, noting that the current parole system is crippled by delays and poor oversight.
Action Society Spokesperson Juanita Du Preez discussed this with eNCA.
