JOHANNESBURG - A recent Human Sciences Research Council survey shows that public trust in the police is at an all time low.

It also reveals that aggressive policing is not inspiring the public's trust.
Others refer to aggressive policing as zero tolerance, which involves a high degree of police presence and proactive interventions.
