JOHANNESBURG - KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, says he could not sit back and allow criminals to put their own government into power.

Mkhwanazi again didn't hold back as he answered questions at Parliament's SAPS ad hoc committee.

He painted a rather bleak picture of the country's affairs.

eNCA sat down with political analyst Dr Mpumelelo Mkhabela to dissect Mkhwanazi’s testimony from his demeanor all the way to his posture.

Mkhwabeka agrees that Mkhwanazi's posture at the ad hoc committee was different to that which was observed from the Madlanga Commission of inquiry.

Mkhwabela explains, "Mkhwanazi was facing Madlanga for the first time as a impartial chairperson for the first whereas the members of parliament are concerned they can not claim impartiality or lack of prior knowledge to what has been discussed.

"That is why at some point he was throwing a book at them to that 'i have told you and i expected more engagement but you did not follow up'. That is why he is a little bit more aggressive, detailed, and passionate because he is standing his ground."
