WATCH | Rape victim frustrated by the slow pace of justice

JOHANNESBURG - Thirteen years after she was raped, Andy Kawa, has raised concern over the slow pace of justice.

A 2022 Constitutional Court ruling agreed that the police failed to mount a decent search and rescue during her ordeal.

Her subsequent damages claim case against the SAPS was scheduled for February 19 but has been postponed indefinitely.

Andy Kawa has now written an open letter to President Cyril Ramaphosa, Justice Minister Ronald Lamola and Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, pleading for quicker response when dealing with GBV cases.
