The MTBPS promotes transparency and accountability in the management of public funds because it gives insight into the priorities of government, forecasts economic trajectory and projects the fiscal framework. This year’s MTBPS comes at the time when the Gauteng Provincial Government is intensifying its programme to change the living conditions of people in the townships, informal settlements, and hostels.
