SA's broken infrastructure | SAPO sitting with billions in debt

JOHANNESBURG - Many State-Owned Enterprises are struggling with significant debt, poor infrastructure investment and the effects of state capture.

The Post Office became the fourth SOE to be placed under business rescue in four years, last year.

In 2023 it accumulated R5-billion in losses, taking its total losses to R19-billion in 16 years.
