So, when local Ennerdale pastor Neil Moses began selling “accredited” courses for just a few hundred Rands in registration fees – supposedly promising thousands in monthly stipends – students lined up in droves.
Little did they know, they were taking bait.
Neil’s one-stop university offered thousands of qualifications, everything from early childhood development to nursing. But then classes were held in living rooms, made up of online videos and quick tests, with certificates handed out after just one session. And that heavenly stipend? Not a cent materialised. It didn’t take long for our education authorities to corroborate: Neil’s operation has all the hallmarks of a bogus institution.
So, The Devi Show sets up a sting, and Neil takes us on a wild ride.
