KEMPTON PARK - A six-week-old baby has been killed in a crash in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni.
The devastating collision claimed the life of the infant and left 17 others injured on Wednesday, around midday.
Emergency services responded to reports of a head-on collision between a Toyota Quantum carrying 15 passengers and a Nissan Hardbody double cab with three occupants.
Authorities confirmed that 18 patients were involved in total.
Five were critically injured, including both drivers, while 11 others sustained serious but stable injuries.
All were swiftly transported by ambulance to various medical facilities across Ekurhuleni.
