CAPE TOWN - The late Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams is being remembered as an exceptionally gifted player and one of South Africa’s brightest football talents.
Tributes continue to pour in following the death of the 25-year-old over the weekend.
Adams made his professional debut for Stellenbosch FC at the age of 19 before joining Mamelodi Sundowns in 2025. He also represented South Africa at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. (Reuters)
Residents of Idas Valley in Stellenbosch have flocked to the Adams family home to pay their respects.

His father thanked the community for its overwhelming support and the many messages of condolence.
Police say they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Adams’ death.
