JOHANNESBURG - James Moloi has been reinstated as Athletics South Africa president.
Moloi's disciplinary hearing sat two days ago at Athletics SA House in Houghton.
It has now emerged that he has been reinstated as ASA president with immediate effect.
Let's examine some of the reasons behind these decisions.
Moloi received an undated suspension letter signed by the Acting ASA CEO on 7 November.
But, Terrence Magogodela himself has been implicated in the SASCOC investigations after admitting in Parliament that the company credit card, which he said was in his possession, was used at taverns and liquor stores.
The hearing found it was incorrect for the Acting CEO to have signed the letter, among other transgressions.
Two rulings were then made.
James Moloi's notice of misconduct dated 12 December 2025 was dismissed and his suspension was lifted with immediate effect as of 22 December.
