Bafana Bafana train amid heavy security in Mexico

PACHUCA - Bafana Bafana take on Jamaica on Friday in a FIFA World Cup 2026 warm-up match, before their opening game with co-host Mexico on 11 June .

Hugo Broos’ team has already started its training in the Hidalgo Stadium in city of Pachuca, central Mexico.

Bafana’s training took place under a heavy security presence.

The security accompanied the team outside the stadium where they have established their base camp for the World Cup.

South Africa are set to play on the biggest global stage for the first time in 16 years.

The last time Bafana played in the World Cup was in 2010 when the tournament was hosted on African shores for the first time ever.
