JOHANNESBURG – Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze following the expiration of their contracts at the end of the season.
The duo was initially appointed as part of Nasreddine Nabi’s technical team before the Tunisian mentor was dismissed midway through the campaign.
Ben Youssef and Kaze subsequently took charge of the team on an interim basis until the conclusion of the season.
Amakhosi endured another disappointing campaign, finishing the season without silverware and ending third in the Betway Premiership standings behind champions Orlando Pirates and newly crowned African champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Naturena-based club has also qualified for next season's CAF Confederations Cup.
In a statement, Chiefs thanked the outgoing coaches for their service to the club.
“We want to extend our gratitude to the coaches for their dedication and contribution, and wish them all the best in their future,” the club said.
