LONDON - The Springbok Women have ended their Rugby World Cup group stage with a loss.
In a match to decide who would end atop Group D, South Africa faced an unbeaten France.
The six-time World Cup bronze medallists got on the board early and continued the points-scoring form to dominate the Boks.
Some 80 minutes and nine French tries later, it was Les Bleues who triumphed with a 57 - 10 win.
South Africa will face old foe New Zealand in the quarter-finals next weekend.
