GLASGOW - Lara van Niekerk has defended her title at the Commonwealth Games.
Van Niekerk bagged gold in the Women's 50m breaststroke.
She touched the wall in a time of 30.43 seconds at Tollcross Swimming Centre in Glasgow.
The 23-year-old also won gold in the same event in Birmingham four years ago.
It was Team SA's third medal in the pool on day six of the Games.
