'I'm in charge' | Gayton McKenzie throws down the gauntlet

JOHANNESBURG - Sports, Arts and Culture Minister, Gayton McKenzie, has warned wayward federations who misuse funds meant for Athletes for their own benefit.

McKenzie was responding to an eNCA Sports exclusive, which reported on Athletics South Africa President, James Moloi, allegedly splurging on international trips and using ASA's credit card at shebeens and alcohol outlets.

It revealed that Moloi allegedly flew his girlfriends to international events in Hungary and Paris.

One allegedly runs a beauty parlour and masqueraded as a sports masseuses with Team South Africa.

The other allegedly introduced to the Athletics delegation as his niece.

Moloi was recently re-elected as president of ASA.
