GEORGIA - The Junior World Champions, Baby Springboks are expected to return to South Africa before mid-day, following their successful exploits in Georgia.
The Junior Boks retained their World Championship title following a 16-5 win over France in the final at the weekend, in Tbilisi.
This win allows the team to successfully defend the title they won last year in Italy.
They become a fourth nation to defend the title and it is South Africa's third U20 world crown, adding to their previous successes in 2012 and 2025.
The victory in Tbilisi has extended the Junior Boks’ unbeaten run to 18 matches.
For the first time, the young guns hold the world title as well as the Under-20 Rugby Championship, which they won for the first time earlier this season.
