JOHANNESBURG – Springbok hardman Eben Etzebeth says the Boks are embracing the rare opportunity to face the All Blacks across four successive weekends as Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry reaches its finale in Baltimore.
The two giants of world rugby meet for the fourth consecutive weekend, with New Zealand desperate for a victory to restore pride while South Africa are in pole position to clinch the series in a groundbreaking USA Test.
For Etzebeth, the demanding schedule has been brutal, but also a privilege.

“It is brutal but it’s also a massive privilege to play against the All Blacks four weekends in a row. It’s great for all of us,” the Springbok lock said.
Etzebeth said preparations for the opening Test were particularly demanding, but with both sides now knowing each other so well, there is less need for extensive preparation each week.
“And now, I think it’s almost less preparation every week,” he said.
“We know them, we know one or two tweaks will be made. We know what’s coming but it’s nonetheless a lekker challenge.”
The Springboks will face New Zealand again on Saturday at 23:00.
