Argentina unleash rookies against battle-tested Springboks

JOHANNESBURG - It will be hunger versus experience as Los Pumas take on the Springboks on Saturday evening.

Argentina has named four uncapped players to go up against the combined 634 caps the World Champions are putting up.

Head coach Felipe Contepomi has handed a starting debut to tighthead prop Francisco Moreno.

This while Leonel Oviedo, Juan Penoucos and Juan Martín Scelzo could all earn their first Test caps from the bench.

Veteran flank Pablo Matera will captain Argentina with Santiago Carreras starting at flyhalf.

Carreras replaces Tomás Albornoz, who is serving a four-match ban for confronting referee Angus Gardner after the England Test.

The Boks arrive in Buenos Aires unbeaten in the Nations Championship campaign, after recording victories over England, Scotland and Wales.

South Africa have dominated the fixture, winning 35 of the 40 Tests between the nations.
