JOHANNESBURG - After a tough opening to their European Tour, the Springbok Women have turned their attention to Italy.
South Africa suffered a 50–19 defeat to Wales last weekend, but there is little time to dwell on the result as the team prepares for another important test.
The Bok Women will be looking to complete a double over Italy when the two sides meet on Saturday.

South Africa already have a recent victory over the Italians to draw confidence from. At last year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup in England, the Springbok Women edged Italy 29–24 in York on 31 August.
That historic victory secured South Africa’s place in the quarterfinals for the first time and helped propel the team into the world’s top 10.
Now, the squad has arrived in Italy, landing late on Sunday before stepping up preparations in Udine.
The next challenge awaits: they face the hosts at Stadio Omero Tognon in Pordenone on Saturday at 14:30, South African time.
