JOHANNESBURG - Cricket South Africa has apologised for confusion over New Year’s Test tickets for the Proteas’ clash with England at Newlands.
Tickets sold out within minutes after the initial release, leaving many fans unable to secure seats.
Reports indicate fewer than 1,600 tickets per day were only made available.
But only 13 percent was allocated to the general public and just 9 percent released in the first batch.
CSA says a further batch of general tickets will be released.
The remainder is allocated to tour packages, hospitality, sponsors and complimentary distribution.
CSA also warned fans against buying resale tickets.
