CAPE TOWN - AmaZulu defeated Cape Town City at an empty Cape Town Stadium after fans were barred from attending due to safety concerns.

Local disaster management officials expressed safety concerns with wind speeds of more than 120km/h forecast, however, the clash was given the green light.

It was not the winds of fortunes for the hosts as they lost Keanu Cupido in the 26th minute through a red card.

AmaZulu took the lead in the 71st minute and closed shop to walk away with maximum points and move 11th on the league table, while City remain seventh in the standings, three points ahead of eighth-placed Kaizer Chiefs.
