Entire Juventus board resigns
ROME - In a major shock, the entire board at Juventus have resigned.
This also includes its president Andrea Agnelli.
The club ended last year’s Serie A season in fourth place and suffered a loss of around 254-million euros, a record loss in Italy.
Last year in November police began investigating the club’s transfers between 2019 and 2021, specifically 'revenues from player registration rights'.
Among those being investigated were Agnelli and his vice-president Pavel Nedved, who has also quit.
In a statement, the board says it is stepping down 'having considered the centrality and relevance of pending legal and accounting issues.'
Managing director Maurizio Arrivabene will stay in his role on an interim basis until a new board is announced.
