Hlongwane double sinks Mozambique

MBOMBELA - US-based striker Bongokuhle Hlongwane scored a brace to help Bafana Bafana secure victory against Mozambique in an international friendly on Thursday night.

After failing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, South Africa is taking on international friendlies.

The visitors struck first in Mbombela following sloppy defending by Hugo Broos’s men.

However, Hlongwane equalised eleven minutes after the break.

Two minutes later, he doubled his efforts in style to give South Africa the lead.

That would be the final goal on the night.

Bafana Bafana play their final friendly against Angola at the same venue on Sunday.

Kick-off will be at 2pm.
