MIDRAND - Amazulu Chairperson Sandile Zungu is calling for changes to the SAFA statutes to help the organisation run more efficiently.
Zungu lost the SAFA presidential race, receiving 82 votes to incumbent Danny Jordaan’s 157.
The AmaZulu Chairperson won't put himself through the same process again unless things are different.
"I wish SAFA was run professionally. I really wish it was run professionally, and there could be, you know, certainty that if you entered any race involving SAFA that you'll be assured of, you know, fair play because it would be a much easier decision.
“If I was to throw myself into a same environment with the same kind of rules, that is what is called classical stupidity.
You're doing the same thing and expecting different outcomes. I do hope that the, they call it the cadreship, that is given the task of leading SAFA in the next four years. Among their responsibilities would be to reform SAFA, its statutes, so that SAFA is well positioned to become a truly world-class organisation."
