Indoor Hockey World Cup | Cassiem wins big for SA

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's men’s hockey team claimed a historic bronze medal at the FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup in Croatia.

This is their best-ever showing at the event.

South Africa’s milestone was spearheaded by Mustapha Cassiem who was named player of the tournament.

Ama Stokke Stokke had to beat Belgium 6-5 to secure a podium finish, with Cassiem scoring a hattrick.

In total the 22-year-old scored 17 goals in Croatia over the past week. His international tally is now 118 goals in only 47 games.
