Kaizer Chiefs move to second place in Betway Premiership

BLOEMFONTEIN - Kaizer Chiefs have moved up to second place in the Betway Premiership, as their good run of form continued with a 1-0 victory over Marumo Gallants at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Wednesday.

Amakhosi’s win on Wednesday moved them up to 30 points and in the second position behind defending PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

With Sundowns having made their way to the top of the standings since the resumption of the league following AFCON, the Glamour Boys have rallied well to find themselves in unfamiliar but comfortable territory.

Orlando Pirates have been dropping points of late and are now third on the log standings.

Meanwhile, KZN side Amazulu have amassed 27 points after 15 games.

And making up the top five is Sekhukhune who have played 16 games with 26 points.
