PRETORIA - The Kay Motsepe Schools Championship continues to create opportunities for young South Africans on and off the field.
What started as a schools' football tournament more than two decades ago has grown into one of the country's leading youth development platforms.
Now celebrating 22 years of impact, the championship brings together learners from across South Africa through football, netball and choral music.
The netball competition has become a key feature of the Championship, showcasing the country's top under-15 girls' teams.
A total of R1,4million is available in prize funding but importantly the rewards are not paid out in cash.
Instead, the winning schools select legacy projects in their communities, ensuring the benefits extend well beyond the final whistle.
