JOHANNESBURG - The Springbok centre Jesse Kriel has become the first foreign player to captain Yokohama Canon Eagles.
Kriel joined the Rugby League One side from the Bulls five years ago.

The milestone comes after the 31-year-old became the 67th player to skipper the Springboks.
Kriel led the world champions against Italy at Loftus Versfeld earlier this year.
