JOHANNESBURG - Henk Lategan dominated stage four of the Dakar Rally.
The South African raced to a mammoth seven-minute victory in the first part of the marathon stage.
In so doing, the 31-year-old mounted an impressive comeback from Tuesday's disappointment.
Lategan logged the quickest time around the city of Al-Ula in the Medina Province of Saudi Arabia.
The Toyota driver is now the overall leader ahead of Dacia's Nasser Al-Attiyah.
The fifth stage will be from Al-Ula to Hail on Thursday.
