He helped his side to an eight-wicket win against the Punjab Kings in Hyderabad.
Marco Jansen showed his worth when the Sunrisers fielded first.
Jansen took two for 16 in three overs to help restrict Punjab to 143 for nine as Shikhar Dhawan was left stranded on 99 not out.
Markram then helped guide the run chase home when the Sunrisers took guard.
The skipper scored 37 not out while Rahul Tripathi was unbeaten of 74.
The Sunrisers won by eight wickets with 17 balls to spare.
It was a morale booster for Markram and co, who had lost their first two games this season.
