Markram: We are moving in the right direction

GQEBERHA - Proteas captain Aiden Markram was full of praise for his team after their five-wicket win through the Duckworth Lewis method over India in their second T20 match at St George's Park in Gqeberha.

The Proteas were in control throughout the rain interrupted match and now have one more game to clinch the series.

Markram admitted that the conditions favoured his team.

"The second bit of rain helped us. The ball skidded on a bit and also affected the outfield," said Markram.

Markram said the Indian assault meant he had to be strategic with the way he handled the bowlers, with player of the match Tabraiz Shamsi bowling his left-arm wrist spin in three spells to take one for 18, easily the most economical figures of the match.
