JOHANNESBURG - Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis is disappointed following a shock loss in their opening match of the 2026 Women’s Afcon campaign in Morocco.
South Africa were stunned by Tanzania in Casablanca, where the East Africans led twice before clinching a 2-1 victory.
The result leaves Banyana desperate in their last two fixtures against Côte d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso.
"And now the next two games become a must-win game and that's what we said in the beginning, but we disappointed ourselves and also disappointed the people back home," Ellis said.
