Pakistan demands more clarity from ICC over profits model

LONDON - Pakistan is the first major cricket nation to question the ICC's proposed new profits model.

Under the proposal, India -- the sport's financial powerhouse -- would earn 38.5 percent of the ICC's net profits.

England and Australia would take home just over six percent.

South Africa and the rest would earn under six percent each, with Zimbabwe at under three percent.

The new model could be adopted from 2024 to 2027.

India's bitter rivals Pakistan want to know how the proposed figures were arrived at and have already indicated their reluctance to vote in favour of the new model.
