JOHANNESBURG - Temba Bavuma is set to make his Proteas return when the team travels to India for a two-match Test Series starting next month in the subcontinent.
Bavuma returns to the fold after recovering from a calf injury which saw him miss out on the trip to Pakistan, where South Africa drew the two-match series.
He comes back to Test cricket action for the first time since the Proteas clinched the World Test Championship mace against Australia at Lord’s in June.
He will take over the reins from Aiden Markram, who captained the Proteas in the recently concluded series.
The first Test match gets underway on 14 November, then the two sides go to Guwahati for the second and final match, from November 22.
