JOHANNESBURG - It’s exactly a full month before the Proteas Women take part in the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales.
But the South African Women’s team announcement has been delayed.
The Proteas were set to announce the travelling squad on Monday at 11 am. But it was abruptly postponed.

A revised date for the squad reveal is yet to be announced.
According to reports, Proteas speedster Shabnim Ismail, who retired from international cricket in 2023, is set to be included in the World Cup squad.
Also expected on the list is all-rounder, Dane van Niekerk, who last played for the Proteas during the Pakistan series, early this year.
