Rugby Championship | Boks open campaign against Wallabies

JOHANNESBURG - The 2024 Castle Larger Rugby Championship fixtures have been confirmed by Sanzaar, with the Springboks set to open the competition against Australia.

The Boks will kick off the campaign against the Wallabies at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane at 6:45 in the morning, South African time, on Saturday, 10 August.

The competition returns to a 12-match mini-tour format after a shortened version in 2023 due to the Rugby World Cup in France.

Each team will play six matches comprising three home matches and three away matches, playing each team twice.

But each team will host a two-match tour and travel for a two-match away tour, with one match home and away series against the third team.

Four-time world champions Springboks will host defending champions the All Blacks for two matches in South Africa after New Zealand played hosts to Argentina.

Rassie Erasmus’ side will wrap up their campaign against the Pumas, with the first match in Argentina on 21 September and the last match in Mbombela on the 28th of September.
