JOHANNESBURG - South African midfielder Shandre Campbell has switched allegiances in Belgium, following his move from Club Brugge to KV Kortrijk on a permanent deal.
Campbell has signed a 4-year contract after spending a season at Club Brugge, where he made 18 appearances for the first team.
He was on the fringes of selection for the first team, but did feature for the side several times in the UEFA Champions League.
However, he had much more success with the reserve side, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists in 25 appearances.
He joins newly promoted Kortrijk after their move into top flight football last season.
Kortrijk are also no strangers to South African players, having previously signed had goalkeeper Darren Keet.
