Sharks, Lions suffer setbacks

JOHANNESBURG - The Sharks and the Lions will have to rethink their selections after both teams suffered injury blows.

The Sharks setback could have implications for the Springboks' World Cup preparations.

Jaden Hendrikse is expected to miss about 10 weeks of action after hurting his shoulder in the Heineken Champions Cup win over Munster.

Fortunately, the Bok has time to recover with the World Cup starting in September.

Meanwhile, the Lions will have to deal with the short-term absence of Emmanuel Tshituka.

The flank has been given a three-week suspension for serious foul play after he was red carded during the Challenge Cup win over Racing 92.

This means Tshituka is unavailable for Saturday's quarter-final against the Glasgow Warriors.
