JOHANNESBURG - Lehlohonolo Seema has become the second coaching casualty of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season after Siwelele FC parted ways with him and assistant coach Willem Jackson.
The decision comes after a difficult start to the campaign, with Siwelele struggling to find their footing in the top flight.
Seema’s departure was confirmed a day after Siwelele suffered a 3-2 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs at Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday, a result that compounded the club’s early-season troubles.
The loss was Siwelele’s third defeat in their opening five league matches, leaving them with just two points from a possible 15.
Those results have left the club sitting 14th on the Premiership log, increasing pressure on the coaching staff and ultimately bringing Seema’s tenure to an early end.
Jackson has also been shown the door as part of the shake-up, meaning Siwelele will now have to move quickly to find a new coaching team capable of turning their fortunes around.
Seema’s dismissal makes him the second Premiership coach to lose his job this season, following Sekhukhune United’s decision to sack Cedric Kaze.
