JOHANNESBURG - Tatjana Smith has claimed a top prize following her heroics at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
She was named Athlete of the Year at the Momentum G-Sport Awards on Thursday night.
The golden girl brought home almost half the medals won at the last two Olympic games, including both golds.
She took gold in the 100-metre breaststroke and silver in the 200-metre breaststroke in Paris.
Smith retired from swimming as she became South Africa’s most decorated Olympian.
